I got laid off yesterday I'm in complete shock. I am going to apply for unemployment but am getting a small severance package. Will that affect my eligibility?

I got a severance package and it didn't do anything to my benefits. Sorry to hear about your layoff. I am still unemployed.

I also got a severence package when I was laid off - it did not affect my benefits.

It won't effect your benefits. But they will ask you about it and you should be honest.
