Unfortunately, I must say goodbye to my fellow '07 brides

For financial reasons, my FH and I are postponing our wedding. We just decided this so we don't have a date set yet for 2008.

If there is anyone out there that hasn't booked their RH and is interested in the Tall Grass Country Club in Shoreham, my date was 10/20/07. I have yet to contact them to cancel the date but I know I will lose my deposit as the contract stated. So if anyone is interested, please let me know.

Although I may not have posted much, I was on these boards almost every day for 2 months. I will miss you girls dearly. The couple times I did post I got so many helpful replies. THANK YOU! I hope the '08 brides are just as helpful, I'm sure they will be.

im so sorry to hear this...i know i can speak for the 07 ladies....u will be missed, cause we are a sisterhood on liweddings...keep us posted...praying that things get better financially so u can come back to us.. for u ...

DITTO! I understand the pressure of the cost of a wedding...it's overwhelming at times. You did the right thing to post-pone it if you are too stressed financially right now. We will miss you, come back soon!!

best of luck to you... i know its SO hard to pay for all this, i sometimes wish I had chosen a later date too..

Good Luck to you. I am so scard myself. I still have no clue if I will have enough money for the wedding. All I know is I will be working a lot and try my best.

Just so you know - your hall is in suffolk county, and you have more than 6 months notice - YOU ARE ENTITLED TO YOUR DEPOSIT BACK!!!! There is a Suffolk County law.

Send a certified, return-receipt letter to your hall OFFICIALLY cancelling your date, and include the Suffolk law that says you are entitled to your deposit back. Include a line like: Please mail my refund check to [name, address, etc]. They have to give it back to you!!!
