Uniondale Marriott

Okay. I just got a REALLY good quote to block rooms at the Marriott in Uniondale. Has anyone blocked rooms there? Do they have a shuttle service? Bridal suite to get ready in? I could use any feedback good or bad. TIA

If I do choose them what should I make sure to ask for in the Contract?

I blocked rooms for my wedding which is actually a week after yours, as far as I know they don't provide a shuttle. They do have suites, i think the only diff is that they have dining room on the otherside of the bedroom and there is more space.

When signing the contract, make sure there is no finiancial responsibility on your end.

I went there last weekend and the suite with the dining room is $575 a night. I planned on stay the night before too so it was out of my budget to spend $1100+ before my honeymoon. I met with Jennifer and she said we WOULD be financially responsible for rooms that did not get booked.

I ended up booking at La Quinta in Garden City and the big bridal suite has more than enough room to get ready in w/ the girls (several seating areas) and was only $259 a night. I worked with Tylene and there is no financial obligation if your rooms don't get used and the rate does not increase. They do have a shuttle but they only make one trip back and forth i believe. I don't think i will need it as I don't think i will book all the rooms but they do offer it.

Did they tell you you were responsible for rooms that wree not blocked? I just looked at the proposal they sent me and it looks like that only applies if you block more than 20 rooms (which is typical for most hotels).

No I'm not responsibile bc I only booked 10 rooms, and I verified that with one of the sales managers before I signed the contract.I think ur right if you book 20+ rooms they do make u responsible for them, if they don't book.

What was the room rates they offered you, if you don't mind me asking...

Book 10 rooms and you will not be held responsible for unbooked rooms. They will release the rooms 30 days prior to your wedding if they have not yet been booked. If you go over the 10 reserved rooms, they will still honor the rate, depending on availability.
