I'm looking for a unique entrance for the wedding party... I don't like the idea of the DJ/band announcing the party with some cheesy song playing in the background.
Anyone have/seen any different ideas?

Yes. I've seen weddings where instead of the traditional entrance, slow instrumental music is played while the MC introduces each 'couple' in the wedding party with a little poem or a few nice words about the people being introduced.
But, this can get VERY time consuming and before you know it, you've lost an hour or more of reception time depending on the size of your BP. If you were to do this, I recommend doing a variation that keeps it short.

i agree, i am not a big fan of this either...
i planned on just mingling and not making any grand entrance, but i don't know how FH will respond to this idea as he is such a ham...

im going to have the song Vouge by madonna
at the end of the walk the couple is going to have to ' strike a pose ' because there is also going to be a photographer right at the end
