Unique Idea for Wedding

Does anyone have any unique wedding ideas?
Like for cake toppers, picture displays, personalized signs?
Ideas for something borrowed, something new, old?
My idea for something blue will be the 'I Do' decals for my shoes & 'Me too' decals for my FH

I might wear cobalt blue shoes as my something blue. Or purple to match my BM dresses.

I'm thinking of doing this too if it won't take away from the dress. I have some lace on my dress so I don't' know if it will go, and I'm having purple too!

As far as creative centerpieces... I was just saying how I really need to go through some pictures and start printing out ideas of what I can have besides the flowers. Martha Stewart weddings website has some cute ideas!

Fh and I are having a quasi-theme wedding. We're both into Renaissance Faires, the SCA and a number of other things.

So there will be parchment scroll invites, the family crests will be used, et.

I think you should do what YOU want. If you want a funny cake topper do it! You only get married once!(hopefully)

FH LOVES Superman! (has the symbol tattooed on his leg) So I thought it would be cute to have a Superman and Lois Lane cake topper. Some of them are really cute! I may also surprise him with a Superman garter! lol I thought about matching my shoes with my Dad's socks as a cute idea whatever color my shoes may be. I really want our wedding to reflect us and the type of people we are!

I DEFINITELY recommend etsy as well! Their wedding section is amazing. Not to mention, everything that's available on the 'regular' part of the site is fantastic.

I occasionally check out offbeatbride.com (i believe that's the site!) for ideas - there's a lot of ideas about personalizing, unique shoes, DIY ideas and so forth.

I've basically used Etsy and OBB to preplan my entire wedding....and I don't even have a set date or venue yet

I wore a steelers garter bc dh is a huge fan, my nickname for him is bear so i actually ordered personalized Bear cake topper, i wore purple shoes (color of my bm dresses, which def didn't take away from my dress), i also ordered him a surprise yankee helmet and steelers helmet grooms cakes! Some of the fun unique stuff people won't notice but if its important or special to you, DO IT!!! Its YOUR day!

Im going to be doing a Grooms Cake as well as a surprise-- Prob Yankees!!!! Since baseball season will be starting by the time I get married.

If I do a grooms cake it will def be Yankees!
How does it work? Do they bring it out with the wedding cake? I've never heard of a grooms cake but love the idea!

Here are mine... i actually used Rhinewalds bakery in Huntington.. unbelievable price and the cake was delicious!
