UNIQUE IDEAS FOR YOUR SPECIAL DAY!
Have someone take a Polaroid snapshot of each wedding guest as they arrive, individually or in groups. Ask the guests to sign the bottom of the photo. What great memories for your scrapbook!
Rather than throwing rice or birdseed, have each guest release helium filled balloons or butterflies in your wedding colors. What an awesome site! Make sure you get lots of photos of this!
If you’re having children at your reception set up a “Children’s Table” decorated just for them. Fill the table with lots of fun things to keep the children from getting bored – coloring books, crayons, blank paper, activity books, puzzles, etc.
If you’re not in need for wedding gifts try setting up a donation box for your favorite charity. This is especially great for second marriages or vow renewals.
Face each other during the ceremony, rather than facing the officiant. That way you’re guests will get a much better view. And so will the cameras!
If you’re using more than two colors in your wedding scheme, have your maid-of-honor where a different color than the bridesmaids. This will make her really feel special for all of her hard work in helping plan your wedding!
Start a Scrapbook! With the wedding invitation, enclose a note asking guests to bring copies of photos of themselves with the bride or groom to the wedding.
Smooth, well-waxed floors and new shoes are not always the best match. Get a little extra traction simply by lightly sanding the bottom of each shoe with a 100-grit sandpaper.
If you are planning a large wedding and wish to have the traditional receiving line,
try some of these helpful hints to keep guests from getting bored – hire a magician or comedian to entertain the line of guests or designate someone as a receiving line photographer. Take Polaroid’s and have each guest sign them and give them to the bride and groom.
