AHHHHH! I got engaged about a month ago and I feel like the search for a reception venue is never going to end. I just can't find the place I'm looking for in the price point I NEED! I feel in love with a couple different places but they were either too small for my 200 guest list or they were over our budget.
Any out of the box ideas?!?!?! I'm looking for a romantic venue that not many people have gone to. It needs to be under $150pp for September/October of 2015.

Stewart Manor Country Club! I'm probably biased bc it's our venue, but if you're looking for cozy and romantic, then you'll want to check them out :) We have a guest list of 170, and figuring on about 120 - 130 actually attending. We've been working with June for our December wedding, and she is so lovely and wonderful!!

I posted in the other topic, but since this one is getting more replies, I'll post here. I have quotes for Bellport County Club and Timber Point Mansion, which will be under $150 and also can hold your guest count. Also, I have quotes for Land's End (depending on what day/time you want it could be under - October will be discounted as their prices are for June-September).

Define toy try Bridgeview Yacht Club...so pretty, on the water. The ballroom has tented ceilings and the food is outrageous. Well within your budget. Ask for Kathy.

This times a million!! I am so biased but they seriously delivered the most flawless day I could ever imagine, it was a stunning venue visually as well. Can't say enough good things about Kathy and Erik who we worked with.

Did you look at the Bayview House? The room holds up to 250. A lot cheaper than a lot of places and includes more with the price

Of course I am biased, but Milleridge Cottage is beautiful, cozy feeling but seats comfortably 350 but I only had to guarantee 100! Definitely below your price point as well and they have been amazing to work with. I have been to tons of weddings and none here until next year ;)

Did you like The Royalton? I'm getting married there this Columbus Day weekend. We are saving $50 a head for having it on a Sunday but most people have off on that Monday (so it's kinda like a Saturday). Try having it over a holiday weekend.

The Carltun is gorgeous but they are a bit pricey for the date that I wanted maybe for you day is cheaper. Also The mansion at timber point has a romantic feeling.

Are you against going off LI? I kept my search to Manhattan/Brooklyn/Queens/Bronx and I could provide tons of suggestions.
