Unique Touches?

I know I'd like my wedding to have something about it thats a little special or unique from other weddings I've been to or have seen... or just something cute thats not as common... any suggestions of what you plan to do or did that you felt was a little different or unique?

I'm doing a few things...but I keep changing my mind so I'm not sure on a few of them. lol. One idea I had was to make a puzzle of me and FH..a big one. It's only like 100 bux... and then on the back of each table num. setting I would have a piece and have them put it together. Only one per couple...but I am not too sure I like that idea too much no more... might be a better bridal shower thing...

One thing I am DEF. doing is japenese umbrellas.... already bought them so I can't change my mind! lol. My Father passed away in 05, and he always called me his JAP... more reasons then one, and not standing for the typcial meaning..lol...well, I decided I needed to work SOMETHING jap into it... so the umbrealls were cute. I got 6 little ones for like 5-6 dollars each, and a big white one for me. It will really only be for picture purposes, but there's sooo much you can do with them. :)

That's realy all my ideas.... SO FAR! lol

I feel like a lot of the things that were once 'special' or 'unique' things are getting very common now:

slipper baskets
cry packs
petal cones
photo thank yous
menus

etc.

as far as something truly special or unique, i'd say that LeslieMike's favors are both special and unique. For more, I'd need to think about it. I like when things are tailored to you and not just another add on

you might want to try to think about something that's unique to you the bride or you the couple and tie it in - -
with me we picked out an invitation with a pink rose - - since I'm Rose that fits and then I decided on pink rose lollipops that I made myself, labelled, wrapped etc for too too many hours
