The real question here is not if it's a real wedding... but who those two people w/ the red and blue sashes in the background are

They are best man and maid of honor. I am from Former Soviet Union and it looks very real.
This is how the weddings take place. They are in wedding palace where they register their mariage. I do not think church would allow her inside

I will give her the benefit of the doubt. I say it was the seamstress who went crazy during alterations.
