Unique/Different Wedding Venues

Unique/Different Wedding Venues

Just thought I would throw this question out there, especially to those of you who have been looking or have looked....I would really like to do something other than your typical RH. Any thoughts? Suggestions? Looking at Long Island and maybe the Queens area!

FYI - I have already checked out Citi-Field and The Museum of Natural History

I also am looking for a different type of venue. I have a few links of places I was interested in looking into. HTH

The Foundry

The Metropolitan Building

Harvest on Hudson

What did you think of The Museum of Natural History? I would like to check it out as an option.

Well Yankee Stadium is out...M y FH is a die hard Mets fan.

I thought about the vineyards but they are a little further than I would like...but not rules out yet! Personally, I am all for a destination wedding...unfortunately my FH and his family are not!

well if you do step away from a RH I think it is more expensive.

Yankee Stadium had a site fee before anything else & it was like $20,000

Just remember there might be a fee like that if you go outside the box

There are plenty of RHs on LI that don't look like 'typical' RHs. Check out the Riviera -- it has a rustic barn-like feel.

Unfortunately, that is a sore subject
I fell in love with it but it doesn't accomodate a large party and my FH has a large family! It was so disappointing! But thanks!

I had my heart set on a barn. Turns out its WAY expensive to rent a barn because then you need to rent tables, chairs, dishes etc. boo

We went with the Riviara because it kinda has a barn look to it

I don't know your budget but the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens is SPECTACULAR!!! If I had a larger budget I would have booked there. Good Luck!!
