Re: Unity Candels
I haven't been told that I can't, and have been to many wedding's that were non mass services that did it. So I am.

Re: Unity Candels
We're getting married at the RH without a religious ceremony and we're still doing the unity candle.
I read yesterday that the candle is supposed to be lit by the mothers of the bride & groom at the very beginning so the two small tapers are burning when everyone else arrives. I really love this idea and plan to have that done when we rehearse too.
I figure the mothers will walk down the aisle and before they sit, they'll light the candles -- my mom will light one and his mom the other.
