I had every intention of doing my own. Realized last night that I didn't want to deal with getting the bow perfect. I went to AC Moore had a 50% coupon and bought one for $17. It's simple and now something that don't have to worry about

I bought the components to mine at Michael's. It's not meant to be an actual unity candle. I'll post a pic...hopefully it will work Candles and all the whole things cost about $16. The trim on the pillar is from Dollar Tree and the stickers I had. HTH

Not sure about AC Moore but Michael's always has coupons in the wedding magazines for like 20% your entire purchase. Especially in Martha Stewart Weddings.

Go right on their site and click store locator, put your zip in and click store coupons. The 50% was for yesterday only. They are running a 40% off for the week coupon.

Re: unity candle....

You don't HAVE to have it, this was never part of the traditional wedding ceremony, just like the sand ceremony thing it's something that people started doing and caught on. If you don't want to have it you don't have to. We had every intention of not doing it until I found out that my Mom had already spent a fortune on a unity candle set and I didn't have the heart to tell her we cut it out so we put it back in. Do what you want and don't feel like you have to spend a lot on the candle set. Try www.wrapwithus.com.
