When do the mothers light the tapered candles which we will use to light the unity candle? Is it part of the actual unity candle ceremony or at the beginning of the mass. I thought I've seen a few programs where the mothers light the candles at the beginning of the mass.

Re: Unity candle ceremony question....
You could do it either way, it's your choice. I would do it at the beginning of the mass so that they're burning throughout the service (and that represents your individual lives) and then when you and FH light the unity candle the remainder of the service will represent your married life.

I personally really like it done this way and will probably do it this way as well.

Either way is fine. I personally like it better when the moms come up b/4 the ceremony and light them.
