Unity candle ? for Catholic brides

Does anyone know if you can only do the unity candle ceremony if you are having a Mass? FH and I were planning to have only a ceremony, but I really want to do the unity candle, will there be time?

TIA

i think you can do with the mass.

I went for my final meeting with the church music and they asked if I was doing a unity candle and I'm not having a mass - i declined.

I just have a feeling that you can only fit the unity candle ceremony in if you are doing the whole Mass, which we had agreed we didnt want but now I am having second thought...decisions, decisions, lol
Thank!!
