Unity Candle - remarried mom?

I've seen on some unity candles, the tapers have the last names or initials of the bride and groom. But my mom is remarried and has a different last name now.

Any ideas? Should I just not put anything but ribbon on the tapers?

The last initial isnt necessary. The first letters of your names by itself is fine and usually what I have seen done

You can personalize anyway you want. I don't think the last name is necessary
