Unity candle vs sand

Hi Ladies, have the option of using a unity candle or sand if i want to. Not really feeling the candle bc i will never use it again. thinking of going with the sand idea but dont really know where i can buy (besides esty) sand or the frame/vase that hold everything when youre done. Im kinda in a bind considering my wedding is next month. Help! Where can i get this stuff for a reasonable price and how could i make it myself if i had to? Thanks!

I know I've seen everything you need for the sand at Michael's, sundays flyer usually has coupons. And oriental trading has it too online. My friend ordered it from there and had no problems with it.

we got the picture frame sand set at michaels. it was a little expensive (around $50), but I think we used a coupon. we liked that it closes so very little risk of spilling! Also, it was “personal” because it has our picture on it. We had seen something similar on four weddings and pretty much HAD to have it !
