We are doing the sand ceremony because we will be outside - if there is any wind I think the candle ceremony could be tough

...plus I like the idea of having the keepsake.

If we do anything (we haven't decided yet) we will do the candle.

We did this for the same reasons - and it was really nice! Though, one word of advice - when pouring the sand, pay attention to how fast each of you are pouring. DH took his time, and I poured mine really fast - so it doesn't looked so much blended together as my color on the bottom and his on top. (SShh....2 weeks later we scooped some out and redid it so it looks better. I know, we're going to hell. )

I don't have any pics on this computer unfortunately....

I love the symbolism behind the ceremonies... I personally did the candles.
Is your wedding on a beach? In that case, DEFINATELY do the sand one!

we're doing the Sand for a lot of reasons.....
1- because it's different
2- RH is SandCastle so that would be cute
3- on our first date we went to the beach at night and walked and talked for hours LOL
4 and want a kool keepsake that we can display next to our pics hahahahahah

We are doing the unity candle. I went with that because i knew I wanted to do our unity candle as a DIY to match our theme, and I love the 2 flames become one thing.
