Unity Candles w/pic and poll

OK, so FH and I are both Irish and very proud of our heritage (and our alcoholic tendancies that come along with it... just kidding!). We want to tie that in in subtle ways, one of them being our Unity Candle.

I found a website that is specific to Celtic Unity Candles but can't decide which one I like better....

Celtic Claddagh

The Claddagh is an Irish symbol from the 16th century. The heart is symbolic of love, the hands around it symbolize friendship, and the crown represents everlasting loyalty

Celtic Heart Knot
(of course the candle itself would be white, not blue)

Two Celtic knot hearts joined together within a larger Celtic knot heart, symbolizing the union of two souls brought together by love.

This would be the holder that we use...

Here's the WEBSITE in case anyone else wanted to take a look-see.

I like the knot personally...

To me claddagh has always represented friendship - whereas the knot represents an unbreakable bond type thing!!!

Our wedding bands are celtic knots!

I like them both but I think I like the first one better.

I like how it includeds everything (love and friendship).

ETA: My friends had a cake topper that was The Claddagh -- it was really nice. I am not sure where she got it though.

See I'm the same way, I like them both and I like what they both represent.. but I'm afraid that the claddagh is too generic... KWIM???

Don't get me wrong... LOVE the claddah and what it represents... so much so that I have it tattooed on my hot bod, but I think the Love Knot is different... we'll see what FH says....
