Untapped Day Spa

I found a hole in the wall type day spa in Lynbrook that you would never imagine being as great as it was.
The prices were incredibaly low, and I am dying to find an occasion just to treat myself again. I went for seasonal facial and it cleared my face up immediately. My skin was so soft, and it really cleared up my skin which is extremely sensitive. You could notice the difference.

The next this was the seaweed wrap. They coat you in oil, rub seaweed and some other stuff all over your body, wrap you in Saran Wrap, stick a heating pad under your body, wrap you in a sheet and them a blanket. They leave you to rest under the blue light for 45 minutes, and when you come out, your pants are falling off. I was so bloated when I went it, and when I left I was about 4 pounds lighter. I had a few emails from people at DAWNIE's wedding asking me if I lost weight. I was shcoked because I knew I lost water weight just from the way my clothes fit, but for people to notice...I couldn't imagine it. I was so happy!!!! My nails look great and I will never go for an eyebrow waxing again since I discover threading. They do that there too for $7.00.

May I ask how much this stuff cost?

Especially the seaweed wrap and the facial...thanks! I'm looking to get a facial pronto - my skin is unbelievably bad right now!!!!

Thanks so much!!! I usually go to the Estee Lauder Spa but its so pricey. I need to find someplace good and still affordable.

Where exactly is this place? By the movie theatre or up by Gold’s gym? I grew up in E. Rock so I know that area well. And prices too, if you don’t mind sharing. I have extremely sensitive dry skin, or I pluck and have never waxed my eyebrows. But I am seriously considering threading. Can they shape as well as clean up my eyebrows?

I had coupons, but the wrap, facial, threading and a full set of acrylic tips came to $105 and I gave her $30 for a tip. I am going to go bye there and pick up a brochure and post all of teh prices tomorrow. They are closed on Mondays, open 9-7pm, T-SU. The facial was about $40, and the wrap $50 I think. I really lost alot of water weight, I couldn't believe how much water your body can retain!

Those are great prices!!!

Threading is a technique used to remove facial hair (eyebrows, chin, etc) The technician uses thread that is twirled around the hair then yanked to pull it out. Its more precise then waxing and it's less irritating.

Rebecca: Did you think I looked any different? Yes, definate Spa Day for me and you!!!

It's by teh Italian cafe, by the labor building across from teh funeral home. It's up from ATlantic. I have awful skin, and they really cleared it up!!! Threading leaves no redness, and my tips look good too!

Please understand, this place is so small it only has two rooms, but the services and prices are unbelievable!

I thought you looked great! You were all fancy, had your hair done, makeup done, gown and all...and I was busy looking at your eyes (even Eric said you had pretty eyes-and he doesn't give out compliments)

I just told my girlfriend about it - we are going to go and check it out and see if they can accomodate my BP and maybe have a little 'pre-bachelorette' party there.

It's nothing like that horrible mummy wrap that I had in Forest Hills. Ugh, I lost circulation. I will post everything tomorrow. I left the cameras and film in Brian's car, so I have to get it out of there tonight before I forget again. But I loved it there, and teh prices were just so low I was shocked.

Have fun! I felt so gross when she was doing it, but my face feels great still from Saturday. And check out the insert in Sundays papers for VS/ER/LYN, that's where I found my coupon$
