I was in the middle of making my unity candle and the hot glue isn't sticking to the candle!! did you girls use anyhting different or know of anything that would stick better?!?!

Hey...I havent tried the unity candle thing yet...i am wondering why the hot glue isnt sticking..what are you trying to stick to the candle...
if its vellum paper or a ribbon...what about double side vellum or sticky tape...if hot glue doesnt work then I dont know what I would use...let me know what happens

I used double-sided tape for the vellum paper, but be careful if you make a mistake & have to take it off.

what are you wanting to glue to the candle??
ribbon vellum paper???
we didn't use a unity candle, but i did make a memorial candle
i used vellum and ribbon.
the vellum went all the way around, the way a lable goes around a bottle of water. so i just glued it to itself with a gluestick. i then glued the ribbon to the edge of the vellum. i ended up not gluing directly to the candle.

i'm trying to glue vellum and rope (pretty rope). and the glue gun just isn't working.

Use hi-temp instead of low and make sure you hold the ribbon or vellum down for a few seconds before you let it be. If worked on mine so hopefully it will work for you too. Good Luck!!!

Craft glue worked for me and I also used colored pins in our wedding colors to put on bows.
