What are some things that you put on your registry because someone had it and you had to have it too?

We haven't registered yet...so as of yet theres nothing unusual
but I can bet that there will be a few things that will be put on there that we probably won't ever use but still think is cool to get

hmmm... I don't know, I can't think of anything. We put on an ice cream maker, is that unusual?

We put a cheese grater...you know like they have in restaurants...can't think of anything else..MY FI is too concerned about what people are going to think so we are being conservative with the registry.

We're going for it. We already live together (and I work for BedBath) so there isn't a whole lot we need. We're updating our stuff and registering for things we wouldn't normally buy - ie - ice cream spoons and bowls, pilsner glasses, high thread count sheets, 'high end' duvets and down comforters. Why not...

Its your wishlist...no one is holding a gun to your guest's head to make them buy anything from there
I know a lil trick, many of you may know it. After your shower put on all the 'odd' things you want, like me I am putting a treadmill, because after your wedding date you get 10% off of anything not purchased so you can put things like that on and then go buy them yourself for the lower price
I want to add a Coach bag to that too!

I was thinking like an unusual sushi set or an olive oil spritzer (anyone know where to find one?---YOU put the olive oil in it and spray it on, I think I saw it on Oprah).

Such a good idea! I never even thought of this! FI wants to put a go-kart on the list to see if anyone will buy it for us. He is nutty!

They have that at Williams-Sonoma. I put it on mine. I have a feeling people will shy away from the 'odd' things. Like, FI and I registered for a mango scooper and pancake batter dispenser. I thought they were unique, but no one else who purchased e-gifts for us seems to think so...
