I'm hoping to soon schedule a trial with Jennifer from Fairytale Makeovers (I'm waiting for her to get back to me) but before I see her I was hoping to have some ideas to tell her about.
I have really long, really straight, really heavy boring hair. I want an updo but I am concerned about the length of my hair and that it is so heavy. I get headaches if I wear it up all day now.
Here is my hair down. (Next I'll post how it looks when I put it up when I am hot or tired of it falling in my face).
Do you ladies have any suggestions? I want it all up, but I'm afraid it's too long. Anyone else with really long hair have an updo?
You have beautiful hair. Unfortunately, I don't really have any suggestions...I'm going through a somewhat similar problem, my hair is long (but not as long as yours)...I'm just going to make an appointment with my hairdresser and see what he recommends.
If I can think of anything, I'll let you know.

Thanks Kathy, if I find an updo, I'll let you know too. I'm thinking about cutting my hair. It grows pretty quickly, so I'm not nervous about cutting it, I just don't know what to do.

Jenny2Penny, I think Jen is gone until Sunday. She emailed me Thursday morning saying she wouldn't be able to respond again until Sunday afternoon. I hope she gets back to me then...

I also have the same problem. last time i got an updo my fiance said i look like i had a cinnibun on the back of my head. I guess he didn't like it

I talked to Jen before she left yesterday. She's not coming back till Sunday. I also have hte same problem as you guys...I have long hair and I don't really want to cut it. Jen told me to bring pix of hairstyles that I like and bring my headpiece during my trial and she'd work with my hair and my features. I don't know yet when my trial will be but after talking to Jen and reading all the compliments all the ladies here in LIW have about her, I booked her over the phone! She is very busy (we played phone tag for a week before we got to talk) and I was afraid she'd get booked for my wedding...but I'm confident she'll do a great job!

Yeah, I was just looking at a thread with a lot of hairstyles from online models I guess, and I was telling FH that I hoped I didn't have a huge egghead. He just shrugged and said he doesn't know about these things... tee hee hee. I think I have a small head to begin with, and if I pile all that hair on top, I think I'll look silly.

I don't think you should worry about the length of your hair. A good hairdresser - one that does updos often will know what to do. I also have long hair down to the middle of my back and when I did a hair trial I wanted something with height on top and we had to try on a wiglet cause I needed some more hair!
