Awwww I'm sorry to hear that. I was kind of hoping we'd all be wrong. But it's better for her to realize it now than later.

As for you, all you can do is be there for her right now. Maybe in another couple of months or so, you'll be able to ask her to be a BM. Besides, I would think that even though she's calling off her own wedding (at her choice, not her ex-FH's, right?), she'd be honored to be one of your BM's.

as long as she did whats best for her then thats great, sometimes you have to put yourself first!

as for your BM dilema...i would wait it out a few months, see how she is doing in a few weeks

I agree with you about rushing into things. I'm glad she made the choice that was best for her.

I agree with the other girls...wait a while for the wound to begin to heal. I'm sure she will still be honored (and probably expects it), but I think you're right to wait a bit.

sorry to hear about your friend, it takes a lot of courage to do that, and youre right, shes better off doing it now than later.... i would giver her some time before you ask her

Im sorry about your friend, it is always tough to see someone go through that. I do agree with the others though, she may not want to hear about weddings for a while, so I would wait to let her heal from this.

That is really hard...she's very lucky to have your support. And, you're right, if there was any doubt, she did the best thing for both of them in the long run. It doesn't make it easier, but she was very strong to make that decision.
