Update: Anthonys bone marrow recipient has emailed and......!
The circumstances around this whole thing are miraculous!
The man said that he had already had one operation and it didnt work. The doctors told him this was definately his last chance!
The only marrow matches were coming from Ireland. They were close but not SUPER close. Anthony then matched him almost exactly!! The doctors said Anthony matched closer than they have ever seen. Closer than a brother or sister usually would and get this... Anthonys grandpa was adopted from Ireland. Kinda wierd huh!!!!??
So the guy is now back to work on the police force only 4 months later. He has taken over Anthonys blood type! He has NO measurable disease at this time and the doctors are baffled. His whole case has been amazing!! He was able to give his sister away at her wedding in May! The whole case is just beautiful!

that's wonderful. kudos to FH. he did an amazing thing.
maybe they can research his grandpas roots. it would be incredible if his biological family was brought together this way.

Had to add:
He emailed Anthony and told him he was adopted!! Its all too strange!! I dont think theres any way they could match so close and not have any relation.
