Update: Anyone with Boston Terriers?

Just wondering, how much do your Bostons weigh?? Dublin is almost 30 lbs and it is all muscle. But we can't let him gain any more weight because of his knees. He has already had 3 surgeries.
Also, thank you very much for sharing your pictures, I love them all!!!

Post a Picture.

I have one, Dublin.
He will be 2 next week

Re: Anyone with Boston Terriers?

Here is the gang:

The first one is Gizzy - she is 8 and stays w/my Mom because she suffers severe separation anxiety if left alone for more than a few hours.

The second one is Sprinkes (age 1 1/2), Angel (3 1/2) and Scutches (4??)

The third is Sprinkles when she was a puppy

The last is Angel and Scutches enjoying a sunny day

OMG how cute! Did you get the cat first, or the doggies? I am afraid to get a dog with my cats...

I got the cat two days before hubby 'surprised' me with Angel. We were browsing the Wantagh Animal Shelter and he was the lone cat there (apparently they must have 'cleaned out' the cat room ). He was reaching out to me from between the bars, and I've always wanted a red tabby for as long as I could remember. I put myself on a last call list and sure enough, they said his time was up. I had no idea hubby was going to get Angel and he was totally freaked when I brought Scutches home because he didn't know how things would work out with TWO new pets at home. Thankfully everything went great. They both acted like they were there forever. There was never any of that weirdo adjustment stuff you go through with cats. It was like he was always there. We did have to do a full declaw on him (he didn't get his name Scutches by chance ) but it was either that or we'd have to bring him back because he was tearing up the joint and everything was brand new in those days. They acted like brother and sister all along. Angel got her name because the first night she was home, she was deathly ill (don't ever buy from a puppy mill type store) and with all her medical problems, I swore an Angel had to have landed on her shoulder to keep her alive.

We got Sprinkles the day I got pregnant with Amber because we saw her in the window of a pet shop in Patchogue (puts new meaning to the term 'Doggie in the window'). It was drizzling that day and her name fits perfectly because when she gets excited, she *sprinkles* everywhere. The three of them love each other immensely and now it's the four of them tearing all over the place (dogs, cat and baby ). Gizzy hardly ever sees her 'cousins' but that's okay because she treats them with indifference.

ETS Dublin is ADORABLE!! We should have a Boston GTG at my house sometime!

You don't know how much that happens though...

Bostons are becoming popular because they are being used more in advertising, marketing campaigns, etc. But the owners who go out and purchase one usually don't have a full understanding of the breeds temperments and dispositions. I've heard of more and more Bostons being put up for adoption because the owner can't deal with their high strung personalities, etc. Very sad!!

Winnie is adorable!!

Re: Anyone with Boston Terriers?

Thanks for sharing the stories. We should definitely have a GTG for the dogs and cat. Dublin LOVES other dogs. I keep telling fh that we need another one so Dub has a friend to play with during the day. Once we get a house, that will be the first purchase

Re: Anyone with Boston Terriers?

SOOOOOO cute!!

They all have the perfect coloring.
I picked Dublin because of the exact opposite
He has one white ear and the other black, and one black eye, with one white eye.
