Update below- see what I got! Quick! Please answer yes or no! Need opinion!

Is this a sports feau paux?

I took the day off and need to get this done while my DH's at work. We are TTC and although I'm not preggo yet, I wanted to get him something special to give him when I am preggo.

He LOVES the Islanders and always jokes about having enough kids to create our own team or for them all to play for the Islanders. So:

I want to get an Islander Jersey in a baby/toddler size and have our last name printed on the back. I thought I could have the number 1 printed on it too since this would be our first kid and a captain's patch. (baby #2 would have the #2 and an assistant etc.)

For a girl who knows NOTHING about sports is putting our last name on a jersey cheezy, a sports no-no or a cute idea?

I don't think it's cheesy at all, I think that is very thoughful and something that you will both cherish when the litte one comes.

i think its a very cute idea for a child especially to be given as way to let your dh know that he is going to be a father.

That's actually the baby's (it's my nephew) first name and the day he was born, but my brother is a HUGE Islander's fan too. My dad had it done for him for Christmas.

I don't think Tyler's going to be wearing it for a while, but my brother loves it.

I got it done at Plaza Sports in Miller Place. It took a few hours ( I got there at 10:00 am and they had me come back at 1:00 pm). They were SO nice and loved the idea! (funny story- I told them it is for when we actually ARE preggo and they thought I was now I didn't know how to correct them so I went with it!)
