Update Bought a MOB Gown / Being altered/Don't like!!/Oh Well!!

Ok, only three stores, locally to still check. Pray I find something. Mary MOB

what about bridalworld? thats in PA not sure how far it is from you but i think its in collegetown or something like that?

Got a gown. Guess you can tell I'm not excited. I tried about 5 gowns on. Nothing fit right. The aqua gown I bought, feels comfortable, has a thin jacket with sparkles, long sleeves. The gown itself has straps, so it's sleeveless. The skirt of the gown has layers with hankerchief hems. Didn't take a camera, because I was just looking, but decided to try on. Forgive me girls, but I'm kinda sad about buying a dress that's sleeveless, has a jacket, and looks like a bag, all of which I didn't want; But what can I do? Time is getting short here, and even though the Moms invited me to look in NY, I don't have the money to do that. Thanks for listening and for your kind words. Mary MOB

PS Debi thinks the dress looks pretty.

Heather, you're so sweet! I know about Bridaltown; Deb got her gown there, but when I looked for a gown, they didn't have much, but I appreciate your suggestion, hon! I'm afraid it's too late anyway. The gown I chose is being 'renovated'. I think I was so tired of looking, I just gave up, but it's ok; If the Bride likes it, I'm good. I think this was one of those 'I feel ugly days'. You definitely have time! My mother didn't get her gown until a few weeks before the wedding.

You can also try going to a department store and getting something there. Incidently, my gown was not a wedding dress, it is just a white gown with a slip under it. Pics are in my album. So if I could do it you can do it!

Definitely don't get something if you are not thrilled with it. There is plenty out there. You will find something!
