** UPDATE... Calling all fabulous cooks ...

Thank you all for the help!

So, does this sound good?

For appetizers:
- Shrimp cocktail
- Cheese dip that my mom used to make ... with french bread! The cheese is actually in a bread bowl so it looks nice and Its delicious!
- Bruchetta (using Pete's moms recipe)

(Is that too much bread???)

Entree:
- Meat Lasagna
- Can I serve that with a Caesar salad? Does that go?
-Then I was going to serve it with garlic bread ... but then Im think that is def. too much bread??? lol

I've never done this before so any help would be great!

Lasanga is great for a main dish as long as you are making meat lasanga.

In my Italian family its not a meal with some type of meat!

That sounds great - especially the lasagna and green salad. The only other thing I might add is italian bread or garlic bread

I agree with both answers...make it a meat lasagna with salad and either garlic bread or Italian bread. You might want to try this bruscetta I make sometimes it is easy and tasty and is a good appetizer.

Get a loaf of Italian bread and cut slices.
Lightly toast the bread then spread pesto over it (you can use store bought pesto if you want)
Then add a slice of mozzerella on top of the pesto and some grated cheese then put it under the broiler to melt the mozzerella and brown it a little. It is really very good and makes a nice presentation.

Enjoy!

another really easy appetizer... and always a crowd-pleaser! is pigs in a blanket...

i use the pillsbury crescent rolls, and just cut up a hot dog and wrap the crescents around them... they take about 9 minutes to cook, and they're so delish!
