UPDATE - Can't sleep my doggie is sick

he has been throwing up blood tonight (3x).. i am so worried. he is a 14 year old yorkie.. my FH is working & don't want to call him to get him upset. i only really had him a year when my FH moved in. i have gotten so attached to him. I will be so devasted if anything happens to him

i know he is old.. but he has been such good company when FH works nights.. he always snuggles up to me

as soon as he gets home, i am going to have him call the vet. For anybody that's up, would you happen to know what's wrong??

Oh I hope your dog is ok. Please let us know what happens. Can you call the 24 hour emergency vet number. Not sure where you live but there is one in Farmingdale. One in Babylon and I think one in Sayville. Thats all I know off of the top of my head.

i would call the vet asap and rush him there right away. that sounds really serious

i have a yorkie too, and as soon as something is wrong i bring him to the vet right away.

i have had many emergency visits

prayers for your yorkie, i have an old guy too

Oooooh, i am so sorry to hear that! I have 2 dogs myself and I understand how upsetting it can be!!

I would get to a vet as soon as you can, just to be yourself at ease and make sure everythings gonna be okay.

i have three dogs and i have the doggie emergency room on my speed dial lol.. needless to say i'm a worry wort!

Oh my gosh, I really pray that all is okay. I am a huge animal lover, specifically dogs and when mine is sick ever, I feel sick. Please keep us posted about your pup.

awww! i hope he feels better- my little princess had similar symptoms when she had worms- which is an easy remedy- they just get pills for a week or so..

I am so sorry. I hate when my doggies get sick. Its hard to do anything for them. Don't worry. Everything will work out. Keep us updated.

I hope your doggie is ok. My dog just got out of the hospital after spending 3 nights there. She was throwing up and trembling. She is ok now, lost some weight but on antibiotics.

Good luck today @ the vet. I am sure your dog is fine!!

ok just got back.

vet thinks its probably just a stomach virus. poor thing can't eat anything today. gave him a bunch of meds & took blood tests. wanted to take x-rays but for now we'll see how he is.

he seems to be getting his spunk back..

yikes!! cost $350 for today's visit and meds and wanted $250 for the x-rays . .sooo expensive.!! but he is worth every penny... pets really are part of your family!
