Did you talk to them about cake options? We saw the choices of what they can look like, but what about the insides? I know we don't choose for a while, but just wondering if anyone knows how many options there are or what they are . . . .
UPDATE: If there is any interest, I'm going to try and coordinate a 'group-tasting' for a bunch of us, maybe in the fall so earlier '09 brides can come with plenty of time . . . . This way, we can all give opinions?
FM me if interested and I'll start making a list, then I'll contact Erga's this Summer and get them ready to give us a 'buffet of cake.' Include what you might be thinking flavor-wise if you know.
We have plenty of time, but I think it would be fun and helpful to have more than one or even two opinions . . . we're all feeding LOTS of people!!

Re: Chateau Briand Brides . . .
I visited them when I was looking for a RH. I love napolean cake and I asked them if they could possibly fill our wedding cake with napolean filling, and they said yes.
So there's one option!

i thought he said we could have whatever type of cake we wanted as far as the insides..but for what's included in the package they don't give alot of option..i'm going to check out cakes by jay
I know, not alot of choices, but luckily one we liked, and the florist is going to 'do it up' with roses too.
I just want cannoli filling, maybe alternate choc. fill and regular in the tiers, . . . . I'm sure they'll do that if they were willing to do Napoleon . . .
thanks!

I think if you ask them they'll do it. They were really nice when we visited them. And they didnt hound on us when we didnt book. I would have, it was just a little bit out of price range...
ETA-I think the woman I spoke to was Victoria. Shes really nice and not at all a vulture. She followed up with us twice but, as mentioned, it was not in our budget.

Just searched some other posts and they said that CB uses Erga for the cakes, and that you can go direct for tastings and discussion of customizing, often for no extra charge.
go to www.ergabakery.com to see sample wedding cakes . . .
I think I feel ok about this now that I've looked, they've been there forever!!!
