So i posted a couple days ago (maybe a week!?!? lol) about how after not hearing from my original invite vendor for months and moving on with another one i got an e-mail form the original with proofs.
She is a friend of a friend so i felt really bad turning around and saying 'thanks but no thanks'
in the end i did - i wrote her back a nice e-mail describing the situation and she wrote back telling me not only is she prego with #2 (which i knew via FB) but that she also got a divorce so she just had a lot going on and just couldnt deal.
So yea - I kinda feel like cr@p about it b/c that's just a really awful situation. Now i feel like a schumuck

Its understandable to feel that way...shes going through a lot and you feel bad, BUT at the end of the day, you need to make yourself happy and feel good about the situation. Its the biggest day of YOUR(and fh's haha) life and you want everything to be perfect. You did the right thing

Not for nothing... but i know people that go through more than that and can send a simple email with an explanation... if i was you i would probably still feel bad... but i would have done the same thing

there was no way you would have known that was going on... don't beat yourself up over it.
I agree with the above that you need to do what's right for you and makes your happy.

it may have been a relief for her that she doesn't have to do your invites if she has that much going on...so you may have done her a favor!

i know you feel bad, but you still need to get your invites done and she was not able to perform the job for you. things happen in life and i'm sure she will find other clients. don't feel bad.

I agree. You had no idea this was going on. You were waiting a long time and with no response. I would have done the same thing. Don't feel bad!
