Update on earlier post: i called FSIL and talked to her(it was eating me up) and she agreed that it was to little to choose from...she told me it was ok to tell him and not to stress myself about it...to deal with him as if i hired him and dont worry about it....i have great in-laws
my FSIL hired our photographer as a gift..hes a friend of hers but he doesnt have packages made up..he said he was gonna shoot somewhere around 150-250 shots and i dont think thats enough...he aslo told me to tell him what package i want...any suggestions

Ours is over 1000, that doesn't sound like enough... if you figure there is a minimum of 6 hrs from ceremony to end, that is 25-40 pictures per hour... what are they doing the rest of the time?

As many as he needs to take...mine doesnt have a limit!!! Although many photographers will give you a number...it helps them to upsell. Then again.... It couldget alil annoying with a camera in you facve the entire day!!! Also I dontknow if I could have the patience to go through 1000 pictures lol

My photographer said somewhere around 1000 as well.

thats what im thinking hes a friend of the family but not an invited guest..but i feel like i would be rude or ungrateful if i say something..Fh just think that i should be grateful im not happy...he did our engagement photos and they were great but now im not too sure about this

Mine said there is no limit on the amount of pic's, he will start at my house before the church and stay until the end of the reception. He said we would have no less than 1000.

My photographer also said he'd shoot unlimited proofs.

Since it is digital he said anywhere from 800-1200. When he used to shoot with film it was like 400.

Ours shoots atleast 600.. he said theres really no number they go by though, they just shoot all day.
Is your photographer using a digital camera or film? If he's digital he can take endless amounts of photos... But film is pricey.. maybe thats why he told you 150??
I would definatly call him up and discuss it with him and tell him youre not happy
