UPDATE!! I can't believe what i witnessed last night (NWR)

so not a lot of you know this but i do TNRs ( trap neuter return) with my godmother for the local kitty cats.. For those who aren't farmiliar with the practice.. rather than the stray and feral kitties who can't be placed in homes producing more kittens or god forbid being put down.. by Trapping them, fixing them and returning them to thier colony where they are fed and taken care of it protects prevents more homeless kittens from being born among many other things. Well last night we were in my Godmothers yard trying to trap her last 2 cats who haven't been fixed yet.. To my surprise as i was standing there waiting for everyone in the yard.. i heard a sad little cry.. very faint but there. I assumed the female had kittens earlier elsewhere and they were calling to her. But sure enough... i looked in front of me not 5 feet away and there was this tiny newborn kitten. She gave birth right there and she didn't even look pregnant so it was a total shock. There was just one kitty. Unfortunately, the mama didn't seem to know what to do with the baby, so we were forced to take the kitten to give it a fighting chance. By this point the cry was faint but still there. We were able to find someone who could feed it for the night and possibly find a nursing mother .. but we weren't sure if it would make it through the night. I am waiting to hear about the status of the kitten this morning.. and i have been praying for the little guy.. and if everyone could pray for him too that would be wonderful. If he makes it we hope to find the little guy a home.. so please send out your warm wishes for the sweet little guy or girl.. !!!! i hope to hear good news about him soon!

UPDATE!!! just got the email that the little guy/girl made it through the night.. pushing his little paws and eating like a champ. I think today they are bringing him to a nursing mother.. so it seems he will have a shot!!! i am so happy.. thank you all so much for your prayers and kind words.. i will be sure to keep you updated on his/her status!!!!

Awww....I hope the kitty is okay...

aww... we rescued a 1 day old kitten as well. I bottle fed it every 2 hours for 2 weeks!!! Milo AKA Fatty is sitting in the window sill right now all 16 lbs of him!!!

I'll say a prayer for the little one that he gets big and strong, just not quite as big as my Milo!!

Oh I hope he/she is ok! That's great that you are trying to help the kitties!
