UPDATE** I have 2 jobs now!!!

Okay so I haven't been around in ages! But anyway I want to make more of an effort. Not why I'm posting....

Please please wish me luck! I'm leaving to go to Starbucks to meet with the manager about a job - any job for that matter. I'm totally freaking out about not having a job and not being able to save an ounce for the wedding right now.

(Background - moved to NC in Aug and had a temp job until mid October. It ended and haven't been able to get anything - not even an interview.)

I feel better now - at least a little. Thanks for letting me vent and wishing me luck!!!!

FINAL UPDATE:

I got the job at Starbucks and am already making drinks!!! I really like it and the people are awesome!!

And I also got a call to do a temp assignment as a recruiter for 6-7 weeks 8-5!!!!!

So by day I'll recruit and by night I'll be whipping up coffee treats!!! I'm so happy just to be working again and now I'll def be able to save for the wedding!!! Thanks for all your support and good luck wishes!!!


UPDATE #2: I had my interview/meeting today and I think it went pretty well. FH's colleague's wife worked worked there when she first moved here and she called right before my interview and put in a good word! The mgr. is going to call me Monday with an answer!! Keep your fingers crossed for me!!

Now I'm going to see what other misc side gigs I can do - ie tutoring and babysittting and ebay selling!!!

UPDATE:
First, thanks everyone for the good luck! I really need it right now. I have an interview tomorrow @ 1:30pm- for what I don't know, but as long as it is a paycheck. I'll have to post a 2nd update to let you know what happens!

Hope everything goes well for you. I was in a similar situation last year--just moved to NC to be with my bf after getting my degree and was unemployed. I ended up working for a diner doing deliveries, waitressing, chopping, etc. The money wasn't great, but the best thing was that it was getting me out of the house!

Wow - it's so awesome to hear someone else has been thru it! It's really rough right now...what part of NC are you in? Thanks for the support!

Thanks!! I am so happy right now - I might be working from 8am -12mid but I don't care right now! Any work is good work right now! I really feel such relief ya know! And FH is so super excited for me - he was happy to see the 'old' me back and smiling again!

Hey date/hall twin!! Thanks! :) It's gonna be great - and I'd recommend Starbucks anyday - they are awesome to work for - so flexible with hours and great benefits too!

No.. I barely talk to brian when he works. I tried to Bring it up when he called during his break yesterday and he said this is something we should discuss in person Its not always that easy with our hours. But he's taking me to the Dr tomorrow during my lunch hour (taking a long lunch since i'm working from 8am-12am) So i'm going to come back to the house for a bit to show him everything. So maybe tomorrow we'll be close to a decision.

I know what you mean about sched conflicting - I wish i could call Ryan at work but he is totally unvail until he gets back home. Yup! I'm workin from 8 in the morning till midnight. BUT i get friday off! Only reason I volunteered I just talked to Brian on the phone and it was hard to get his attention because even when he's on break ppl are talking to him So it'll wait til tomorrow. Do you know what you guys wanna do.?

Yup - we are going to Curacao - i forget the name of the hotel though LOL! I can't wait :) That stinks you have to work all day - but again you do get tomorrow off! I hope it goes quickly for ya!
