UPDATE: (I STILL CAN'T HEAR!)How long till I can hear again?
SO, I finally dragged myself to a doctor yesterday, and I have a very bad double ear infection. I haven't had an ear infection since I was like 4. And it SUCKS! I can barely hear out of both my ears Anyone know how long it should take until they clear up? I just started my antibiotics yesterday morning. I was hoping to wake up feeling a little better. I HATE THIS! This is my vacation, and I'm just sitting here feeling like sh!t! Thanks.

i think it takes a couple of days for it to clear up and for you to hear again....i got a double ear infection a few years backj when i was on vacation visiting my uncle in arizona....and i had to fly back with my ears like that. they say the worst thing you can do for a double ear infection is get on a plane......hurts like hell!!! feel better soon!!!

Rachel, i'm sick too... bad sinus infection, i'm desperately trying to call my doc, but i don't think they open til 9. I've been suffering all weekend. :-/

OMG, it's so funny you say that about flying because all I could think of yesterday was 'Thank god I don't have to fly anywhere.' It really sucks. I'm so sick of being in the house. I'm dizzy, so I can't drive, and even when I did go to the pharmacy with JT yesterday, I felt like an *** because I couldn't hear what the person behind the counter was saying ENOUGH ALREADY! Thanks for the input palewife

I found a walkin by me that was open yesterday. I was in so much pain I was going to go to the ER if I couldn't find a walk in. It was so bad yesterday that everything sounded distorted to me. I thought I ruptured my eardrums. But from what I CAN hear today, it sounds normal.
ETA: FEEL BETTER!

Oh good, maybe your meds are kicking in! Feel better too. Ugh, off to try calling the doc again. I'm getting so frustrated screaming at the recording, 'open already, you m----f--kers!!!'

Awww, I hope you girls feel better soon. Ear infection, those are painful, when I had one after I took a couple of doses of antibiotics it went away.

I had bad ear infection too a couple years ago. I was losing hearing in both ears. That's because when I went to ER because the pain was so bad, I thought they gave me something to help it go away, but they only gave me something for pain. I think all of a sudden my ears sort of popped like 2-3 days later, and I could hear.

Thanks girls. I get so nervous because I am a music teacher, so the not hearing part is FREAKING ME OUT! I'm supposed to be teaching my private students all this week, and I can't because I can't friggin hear them! AND I can't drive because I'm so dizzy. I hate this. ThongLori, I'm glad you got an appointment!

OK, I MUST go back to the doctor today. I've taken enough freaking decongestants to dry up a goddamned ocean, and STILL I cannot hear. And I think my ears are worse! How is it possible that after being on antibiotics AND decongestants that I STILL cannot hear. Sorry, I just needed to vent. I'm so upset over this. Not only am I still at home on my vacation, I'm losing money because I should be teaching privately this week, but I'm no use to teach music lessons if I can't freaking hear ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
