UPDATE: Let's see how this goes...

Going to call the RH again to see if someone can actually help me re: us not meeting our minimum....

Will report back. I hope not to be pissed off at them again today. That's all I gotta say!

I got the same guy on the phone, ugh. Anyhow, he's going to speak w/ the general manager tomorrow (which he already told me he did yesterday when he said NO ...whatever) - and see if he can do anything and I'm suppose to call in the afternoon to see and talk to him. He could have told me this yesterday so I don't waste my time and energy.

how much lower on your minimum are you??

when you signed the contract did you not realize what the minimum was?

maybe this is the old BM coming out in me, but thats the reason why they set a minumim guarentee, so you will pay. They could have turned away a lot of weddings for that day, that had higher #s. If they didnt hold up a part of their end of the contract you would be really mad, the same can go for you not holding your end of the contract. Dont expect anything from them

Of course the right thing to do would be to include some extras for you, as a professional courtesy, but you signed a contract stating you would pay for XXX amount of people, and you are obligated to pay for them, whether they want to help you with that is up to them...

I know, it's just been one thing after the other and it's all building up in me and this was sort of the last straw. We're under our minimum by 8 people - I know that we are in the contract based on our minimum, but I'm also more annoyed at myself for not negotiating with them in the beginning, and it's just all adding up and fuming me. If they don't do anything we'll pay it, but they're not offering anything at all, which I get is part of the contract, I'm just annoyed by the whole situation

totally agree, 8 people is not a lot, so they shoulda t least throw in some cookies or maybe an extra couple bottles of high end liquor, or something... did you already include the vendors in the full person cost?
