UPDATE! My dress is in and I ordered it less than a month ago!!!

I just got a message from David's Bridal that my dress is in ALREADY!! They said it would take until June! I am going to go pick it up today and it will live in my closet where I can visit it often

Besides keeping it away from kitchen smells, can you give me suggestions about how to store it for such a long time???

***UPDATE! I went to pick it up tonight and it is PERFECT. I had my doubts about David's but they got the size and color right and there is nothing wrong with the dress and I LOVE it. Now I just have to resist the urge to bother it too much!

Will they let you keep it there? My dress came in in December and I asked my location to hold it until the week before.

i heard to wrap it in a white sheet in the zippered bag in a dry closet with a lttle breathing room. To leave it open a slight bit and the sheet will grab any of the discoloration that could hit it. But again double check with Davids on what they say.

nope...unfortunately david's is kind of annoying about certain things. they won't hold merchandise for more than 5 days and you actually have to pay $10 for the garment bag to store the dress in. i thought that was really dumb but i love my dress and it wasn't that expensive so i'll deal

Don't try it on a lot.... my place told me a lot of girls do that b/c they love it so much and then it becomes mis-shapened and not as form fitting

i bought my dress from david's also, here's what you do: did they give you a garment bag to put it in? if so get a white sheet and wrap the dress in it then put it in the garment bag zip it up leave thezipper a little down at the top so it could breath. this will keep the dress from turning yellow. i have mine wrapped already and i'm getting married in October. Glad to hear that your dress came in sooo early. It should be fine till Oct. you could wrap it in a white sheet like other ppl said above. Do you plan to get it altered there?
