* UPDATE* OMG!! Someone was attacked in my building!!!!

there was blood all over the lobby, on the floors, walls, and in the elevator, on the buttons...everwhere!!!! ewwwwww....it looked like a scene from a horror flick!!!!!!!! I saw an ambulance and cop car, but don't know what happened!!!! I am SOOO PI$$ED!!!! there used to be a time where you could walk around here at 2am and feel totally safe, NOW its like you have to look over your back all the time!!!!! the conditions of this place have gone to the freakin' $HITS!!!! I CANNOT WAIT TO MOVE!!

UPDATE: Just found out the details. It was a newer tenant that got attacked...she and her family just moved in like 3 or 4 months ago.. someone followed her from the cashier and when she got inside the bldg, he punched and beat her so bad, her nose broke!! poor thing!! I can only imagine how she must be terrified now!! They're still interviewing people..2 detective cars were parked outside the bldg for most of the day...
I HOPE AND PRAY SHE CAN IDENTIFY THE A$$HOLE THAT DID THIS!!!!!!!

don't know any details yet...I just called one of the other tenants and she said that a neighbor heard alot of screams but noone knows where it was coming from..(i live in a 21 story high rise)...who knows what could've happened!!! this makes me sooooo mad!! so many times that we've complained to mgmt about the idiot knuckleheads that hang out around here and they do nothing about it!!!
not too long ago both elevators were COVERED FROM TOP TO BOTTOM with white powder!!! (maint. said it was baking powder) but still, it could've been anything!! then the next day, someone shot a beebee gun into the window of the lobby and shattered it!! mind you, everyone suspects the same knuckleheads, but have they beefed up the police patrols, or come around asking questions!!! NO!!

i know the area b/c i work there and its a nic area i think sometimes bad things happen even in a nice area.

Oh No! Thank goodness closing is right around the corner! Be safe! Is there anyone who would let you stay the night by their house until then? You could pack until sundown and then get the heck outta there!

that's was sooooo depressing!! this area is such a nice area, and like i said in another thread..the beat cops used to call this the 'beverly hills of nyc housing'...its just that they are letting in some really classless garbage, and the whole place is deteriorating before our eyes!!!! I've lived here for 35 years, and NEVER has it been like this!!!!
thats why we decided to move,....we HAD to get our babies outta here!!!

I am glad you are ok too. Unfortunately bad things happen in good neighborhoods all the time. My parent's neighbor was mugged in his garage a few years back and they live in an upscale North Shore LI neighborhood. No one is immune - crime knows no boundaries.
