Update: Thank you for all those who suggested I contact ONEWED. Maira emailed them first wanting to have the review removed. One wed emailed me saying that Maira told them that I am a fake and was never her client!!! LOL after some more convos with her & Onewed she finally admitted to them that I was a client of hers. They told her the review stays. as for checking to see if the rest of her reviews are fake, that is hard to do and they cannot do that. They are super nice at onewed!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ so another poster wrote about their horrible experience with Maira Ortiz (makeup & hair artist)and I have been meaning to submit my honest review for a while but felt bad for her bec it was negative... abyways I submitted by review on one wed and received a very nasty email from Maira! I am sooo pissed!!! she is treatening to submit my trial pics to one wed and 'open an investigation' LOL she says I rushed her bec I was on a limited time.. meanwhile SHE WAS LATE TO MY TRIAL!!!! and I still was nice to her and she is blaming me!! she took hoursssssss on hair n makeup and each was one look!!!! wow im beyond words!!!!!!! I had a quicker trial with Rouge and it was fab!! I have never met someone so UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!!!
This is what she wrote:

Hope all is well with you.. I'm writing to you to let you know that I read your review and I feel very disappoint it on you. You know what happened is not true, you did not give me enough time to do what you ask me for because 1st you waited for me with your hair wet, which you know will take a long time to dry and also you had your time very limited because you were going out at specific time. I did my best in such a short time. This is very unfair from your part. I have pictures to prove what I did for you and tomorrow I'll contact onewed to summit those pictures to open and investigation about this.
I always run the extra miles for my clients and I you know I don't deserve this from you. I would appreciate if you take this in consideration before scale to a next level.

she sounds threatened by what you wrote and therefor.... unprofessional. not a good look for her...

yep this is what I wrote. I dont think it was horrible. I was just very honest. the other girl who wrote another negative post about her on here also got an email similar to mine when Maira thought that this girl was the one who gave her a negative review on another site!
'I had an half up half down hair style and airbrush makeup done.
Makeup: before setting up the appointment, I had emailed Maira Pictures of the looks I wanted. However, the day of the trial its as if she didnt even listen to what I wanted and I had my laptop showing her pics of the looks I wanted-- and pics of how I do my makeup on my own.... it was soo bad that my mom gasped afterwards and I almost cried and went to fix my makeup myself. she didnt apply much mascara and used a fan brush to apply it. My eyes are my best feature and she didnt add anything to them at all! She may work for some but she didnt work for me. I have a very specific makeup taste because I do my own very well. I am very happy that I did find a makeup artist who met my needs. The only good thing about the trial is that she did airbrush foundation pretty well.
Hair: I just didnt like the style at all. she couldnt replicate or suggest looks for me.'

Don't let her guilt you... Me (and a lot of other brides) appreciate your honest review. We should be free to post negative reviews to warn others without fearing repercussions. I wouldn't even respond to her.

When ppl write review its because thier being honest. This is what this site is about. We depend on eachothers honesty so we know not to deal with vendors like her.
Dont feel bad about what you wrote b/c it's you honest OPINION and your entiltled to it!!!!
She's just upset that ppl will read this and it will affect her business!!!!

you have a right to your opinion and review and I can not stand vendors bullying brides. If their business was solid to begin with, they wouldn't be so terrified of a bad review.

Honestly not being able to post negative review is absurd. Blah Blah Blah client services is protecting us Blah Blah Blah. I think client services needs to allow us to right what we want and if a vendor wants to sue us for defamation then let them prove their case. Life isn't all hearts and butterflys.

I do not like when vendors do this it is unprofessional that is why I am not doing a review. I did not have good experience with a vendor and I believe they are on this cite. Open an investigation that is crazy! Anyway I hope you find a new makeup and hair person for your wedding.

I REALLY want to know what the next level is! Is she contacting the FBI? What on earth! I really appreciate ALL reviews - good or bad. And if vendors don't want to get bad reviews, then they should work to correct their flaws.

Thats funny considering the very nature of this thread... what if this hair/mu person sues the OP... thats the whole point of the restrictions... there are other places to post negative reviews...

I think this is ridiculous. If I'm not happy with your service then I should have the right to express my honest opinion, not sugar coat it. People plan weddings off of this site...and if they can't rely on honest and truthful reviews then what is the point of even being on here? The only reason she even wrote that email to you is because she is afraid your negative feedback is going to affect her business. I mean all reviews are subjective and everything should be taken with a grain of salt, but if someone has had an unfortunate experience they should be able to post about it. Is weddingwire.com any different? Post away ladies!

I wouldn't be too concerned. Your review was just that, a review. You did not defame her character, you spoke about your experience.
She is probably just upset about the negative review, but there were definitely better ways to go about contacting you about it.
Sorry you are dealing with this and i'm glad you found someone who was able to be a better fit for you hair and mu wise.

We need the honest reviews on here. If a vendor is concerned about how they will be reviewed then they should be on point all of the time. What is the next level??? Would she really spend the time, effort and money to pursue this....I DONT THINK SO. She is trying to scare you.
