Update on ALIKING!!!!

Ali just called me - she is on the way to the hospital to be induced. She went straight from the doctor's office, which is what they figured might happen. Besides being a week late today, they said her amnio fluid level was REALLY low and the baby is already about 8lbs 10 oz!!
The are giving her something tonight which will take about 12 hours to kick in and then start her on the pitocin tomorrow. So, it looks like I'm going to be an aunt tomorrow!!!!

I'll keep you guys posted and hopefully I'll have some pics tomorrow night!!!

Update - I spoke to Ali's mom about half an hour ago and they were on the way to the hospital. The cervidil didn't work so they can't give her the pitocin right now. They're going to wait a bit to see what happens and then they will probably have to do a C-section!!
Ali is trying to sleep right now.
I will most likely be heading over there after work tonight!!
Keep your fingers crossed for an easy delivery!

OK - I spoke to Doug, Ali's husband before. Nothing is going on!! The cervadil didn't work and they now gave her another dose. She hasn't eaten since last night and is hungry and tired Doug suggested me not coming to the hospital now because she' s just been trying to sleep. Her parents went home too.
Having a few contractions, but she's not dilating. It looks like a C-section may be coming! Doug is going to call me later with an update!!

Doug hasn't called me tonight so either nothing is going on or they're in the middle of major stuff!! I'll let you ladies know when I do!

The same thing happened to me... so either way it won't be long now.
