thanks so much for all the hugs, prayers, and well wishes for Pete. he made it thru the surgery a-okay. the doc said he had a lot of work to do on him...cause it appeared he had multiple fractures in his nose from before. DH swears he never broke his nose before, but the doc says it was broken at least twice by the way it looked!
so i've been taking care of him all day--replacing the gauze under his nose....getting him soft food....pain killers....etc.
he's quite miserable -- lol but he'll be okay!
as i was telling my friend---true love is changing your DH's bloody gauze pads.

he had a seriously s-curved deviated septum---basically he couldn't really breathe thru his nose for almost his whole life! so today he underwent surgery to fix it, and open up his sinuses

That sounds just fabulous!!!!! I couldn't imagine not being able to breathe thru my nose.. I hate having a cold for a few days....

Oh so glad everything went well!! Dh did the same for me...changed my bloody gauze...shoved goop up my nose, waited on me hand and foot, even in the middle of the nite several times...and still married me after it all!! hahah Hope he feels better soon!!!

Glad to hear that everything went well!! I can't imagine not being able to breathe threw your nose, I hate that feeling for a few days, never mind a lifetime!! Sending your DH well wishes for a speedy recovery!!
