UPDATE on FH's Dad (he passed away) and my wedding this Saturday

Just wanted to thank you girls for all the prayers and hugs.....haven't been on LIW in a few days... Unfortunately FH's dad did pass away on Friday night. He was really suffering at the end so we were really praying for God to take him. We were all at his bedside with him when he died which was really nice...so sad and hard though. FH is Jewish so we've been sitting shiva all week and tomorrow - Thanksgiving - is our joint Thanksgiving Rehearsal Dinner...it is now a triple Thanksgiving / Rehearsal / Shiva...just moved location to FH's mom's house where we've been sitting shiva. And our wedding is on Saturday...can't believe it is here...just a few days away.
It's been a tough week but we're all hanging in there. It's hard having to bury your dad and get married all in the same week - my heart breaks for FH and his family but they are all really looking forward to celebrating at our wedding which is what his dad wanted us to do.
Just wanted to give an update and thank you all again for all the support and prayers!!!
We've postponed our big honeymoon....just too hard to go away right now while we're still mourning and grieving. We want to go when we can fully enjoy ourselves - hoping to reschedule for March. We are going away locally for a few days right after the wedding so I'll be in touch after that with pics!

I'm actually not nervous at all...very calm. Just relaxed all day today...did nails. Going to dinner with parents soon and then to BED!

I'm so sorry, honey. The same thing happened to my parents - my dad's dad died less than a week before. He'll be watching over you.

OMG... I'm SO sorry for your loss! That is so tough... you, your now-DH and your family are in my prayers. At least your FH's dad isn't in pain anymore. It's so tough... my uncle passed away the night of my wedding, but no one told me until I returned from the honeymoon. I don't think I would have fully enjoyed the honeymoon if I knew, so I think you're doing the right thing by postponing.
FM me when you get back if you need to talk. Your FH's dad was with you the day of the wedding... just know that.

The pictures were beautiful and you had a great day, weather-wise! You looked stunning and while I know it was hard without your father-in-law, it was great to see all those smiling faces.

Oh I'm so sorry to hear this news. It just breaks my heart that you have to go through this right now. I hope that you did have a nice wedding day despite all that's happened. I'm sure your FH's father would have wanted that.
