UPDATE ON FMIL AND THE MARRIED MAN
THANK you so much for your support on my previous thread. I thought I should update you since FH spoke with her this morning.
I know I can't let it ruin our last 18 days of the engagement, but I can't help being sad about it either. I'm less angry than I was yesterday, now I'm just sad that she would put us in this position.
I probably won't say anything, because it really is FH's place. He did ask her about it this morning, and she actually said the married guy is separated and living with his brother... Unfortunately, I really think she's lying because she originally asked FH to send the invitation to his WORK not home - if he wasn't living with his wife, why would we need to send it to his work (Of course I FH REFUSED to do that - and she never dared to ask ME) ... anyway, that's why she ended up bringing him as her guest instead of sending him a solo invite.
Besides, I know he went away with his wife for Christmas last year. He doesn't sound separated to me, and now I'm even angrier that I think she's lying to FH. But I can't say a word and cause drama with the wedding so near by.
Actually, this has caused an argument with FH a little, cuz I'm so sure she's lying and he wants to believe what she's saying about the separation. It just doesn't make sense to me. If he was separated, she wouldn't hide him and sneak around the way she does... I've never met him in all the years I've been with FH... BUT I've heard plenty from FSIL about their sneaking around. Plus she wouldn't have been so depressed on the holidays when he was with his wife (FSIL told me about that) and plus, the invitation story I just told you. Anyway, of course I can't call her a liar and accuse her of anything, so now I'll just say nothing.
I'm really trying to just get over it but every time I think about them dancing together at our reception, or sitting there listening to our vows in the Church, I get so DISGUSTED!!!
FH and I have been so happy and excited that this little damper can't ruin it. I'm hoping to get it together today and just not let it get to me anymore.
tHANKS LADIES!
