update on head pains- cant stop crying ughhhh

Original post by blondie24

ok so I have been having headaches (every singleeee day) for the past month.. its been getting worse each week... the first week it was only at night... now its been more earlier each week...

3RD WEEK- I had my dr give me an antibiotic for a sinus infection.. worked great for a week.. until I was done... headache returned...
fast forward to now... 4 1/2 weeks.. and still in pain... this past weekend, I went to the hosp 2x, and saw 3 drs... (I have yet to see a neurologist bc I havent had time to book one just went to the hosp instead)...
This past weekend, one hosp gave me a shot in the tush and told me to go home and take motrin and its prob migraines or cluster headaches..

Sat- another hosp did a CAT scan... came back normal, blood work, normal... WTH!!?? I have never ever had allergies, sinuses, migraines... why now? fh and everyone says stress but I have been under way way more stress and never got head pains from it... esp for this long... I am so scared... My aunt told me to take one excedrin migraine and tynenol together, did that... worked wonders ... lasted 1 day...

I have taken everything from motrin, tynenol, to vicodin, imitrex to....... shots... nothing lasts more than a day... or a few hours....

I cant stop crying....I am afraid to neuro is going to say migraines and give me another pill thats NOT going to work. WTH is wrong with meeeee

I hope you are feeling better soon! Did you ask them about food allergies? My friend in college started having a bad reaction to gleuten and soy and found out that that was what was causing her migranes.
The acid in your stomach could be caused by the ibuprofin or aspirin. These are really bad for your stomach esp if not taken with food.

i have suffered with migraines headaches, cluster headaches, headaches with aura & ones without since i was 8 years old. i am not lying when i say i basically have some form of a headache every day of my life.
no medicine works.
i recently switched by BCP & that has helped a large amount.
as a kid i went to a chiroprator regularly & that usualy helped to relieve the pressure feeling.
recently i had horrible back pains so i went for an x-ray & ended up in physical therapy for weeks. i have a slipped disk & a pinched nerve. that nerve goes up to my neck so thats whats why i have always had headaches in my neck. since learning how to sit, stand, lay & sleep correctly i have felt some relief.
the best thing i find it to avoid known migraine trigger foods. (chocolate, avacado, red wine, etc..)

hope you feel better.

awww hunnn im so sorry! i dont have much advice i just want to give sme love. the only thing is, i know you said a few weeks back about bc, really effing you up and i think you got off it. it could still be in your blood stream , maybe? right? and that cuz be causing them. from the symtons you described though, it sounds more like badddd sinus rather than migraines. im no expert though.

plz keep up updated and youre in my thoughts!

i am so sorry you are going throught this and i totally feel your pain. I go through months of constant headaches and finally gave in and went to the dr. When the regular dr didn't help I she send me to an allergist. Mine are sinus headaches and so bad that I would lay on the couch miserable. Its all related to congestions. One way the allergist knew was he made me use afrin in the office and within 15 minutes i had complete relief (but you can't you afrin alot its very addictive). You could give it a try for 3 days to see it if helps, if it does then you have to find out what is causing the congestion that is causing the sinus headaches. For me, rainy and snowy weather and I am highly allergic to distmites.

good luck!!!
