Update on my grandmother

Thank you to everyone who kept her in their prayers. It looked very bleak early last week, but she made slow progress all week and really improved today.

My grandmother finally woke up today. She was asleep for 8 days. She was well enough to come off the ventilator and feeding tube, but is still in the ICU. She was able to hold conversations and respond to questions and stuff, so it looks like no brain damage. We're hoping she moves to a regular room tomorrow or the next day.

We aren't sure if she'll be strong enough to make the wedding, but I'm just so relieved that she's getting better.

Its really scary when a love one is in the hospital...my mom spent 10 days in the icu...now thank god she is home and getting stronger every day....

glad to hear... if you have time before your ceremony... with my grandmother we actually stopped at the hospital to say hello, and her see my sister in her dress...

Thank you all for the positive thoughts. It has been a huge relief. We are waiting to see what happens in the next 3 weeks to see how we can have her involved in the wedding. Thanks for the ideas.
