UPDATE on the wench that kept my registry gift!

Ok, so for those of you who read my thread the other day about a registry gift getting sent to my old address and the woman keeping it for a month a half....well, I got a voicemail from her today saying she JUST received it and was JUST about to go to the UPS store to return it, but she got my call. Um, OK, it was signe for on NOVEMBER 1ST! Anyways, she left me a message to call her so I can come and pick it up. I'm VERY curious to see if there is a cut and paste job on the box! F-ing people, I think I might grab the package and give her a piece of my mind! And to STILL lie to me after finally confessing she had the package ARGH!

The nerve some people have! I'd love to know how she claims to have just gotten it when she signed for it 6 weeks ago!

if you have the tracking number from the original, you can track it online and print up the signature...proof positive that she received it awhile ago

i never ever ever post (I'm a lurker!) but I have to say something here. She might be telling the truth. UPS is just the worst. I had a something I ordered online sent to my house. I didn't realize it would come UPS and would need to be signed for. When I got the little post it note, I went online and had it redirected to my work address. I checked later that day and as it turns out, it said that it had been delivered and signed for by ME at the original address! I am never home during the day so I know that I didnt sign for it and I asked all of the people in my building (it's small) if any of them signed for it. No one did. I checked at home - No package. I called UPS, they insisted I signed for it. Still no package. I finally found it a week later on the outside of my building in an obscur location. It could have been mistaken for trash. It must have been out there for a while because it was rained on. Anyway, as it turned out, a similar experience happened to someone else in my building. So before you come to the conculsion that this woman took your stuff, you may want to give UPS a call and give them a piece of your mind.

for you!

For the b!tch!

I would definately make sure she knows that you know she signed for it in Nov. She needs to learn a lesson in honesty.

I didn't JUMP to a conclusion that she had it, she TOLD me she had it. And furthermore, when I spoke to her again yesterday to confirm that I am going to pick it up today, she confessed that she's had it since NOVEMBER FIRST, so thanks for trying to shed the light on the positive side, but this woman DID keep my gift.
