Update- Pictures from my shower 7/17

UPDATE--
Shower pictures

My aunt who took them also wrote the gift list, so she didn't take any while I was opening gifts.
The last couple are at mom's house later when we reunited witht he men.

At Mary's Backyard on South Oyster Bay Road in Bethpage.
I had never been there before ( it used to be Kenny's Cafe)

It was a surprise, but I was sorta catching on.

We were at Fh's aunt's house in Massapequa dropping off out envelopes for her to address & then she suggested we go out to lunch. I was wondering why we were going so far. . .


My two Bms are my cousin's so my whole family helped out- my cousin's mom, & aunt threw it & even my uncles & my dad help with some of the planning.
My MOH & my uncle decorated a baseball hat for me with a Bride to Be button & tulle.
It was really cute.

They made me a recipe box & everyone contributed a recipe, but most of them don't cook, so that was really funny.
My old roommate threw in a drink recipe.

And for some reason, my several people put ziplock bags in my wishing well!
My MOH asked if that was a joke amongst my friends. umm. not that I'm aware of!

Did you get alot off your registries?!

My aunt took a bunch w/ her digital cameras, so I saw them on the camera, man, am I Huge! but that's another issue. . .

When she sends them to me, I'll post a few if they aren't too hideous!

I got almost everything off my registry. There are a few special order items & 8 sets of flatware. My mom said she would have bought htem for us, but that's a good thing to leave in case someone wants to give a gift & not money, for the wedding.

FMIL spent too much & purchased all of our bedding!


I got a few non registry gifts, that were really nice too.
Nothing really bizzare.
1 friend got us toastingflutes with hearts on the, I can't stand hearts , but they are nice flutes & it was a nice gift. We didn't intend on getting flutes. Ithink that'sa a little risky to buy, n/c it codl be like the 4th set, but it was our only set.

My mom got WAY to much stuff. Pots we didn't register for, because we couldn't decide, and they came with bowls & knifes (she didnt' wrap the knifes, since we already had knifes, but we have them) a Lenox cake sever set we also didn't register for, but is beautiful, and a pretty blue night gown& robe ( she said in case there is a fire drill on the cruise, I should be well dressed!)
I think there may have been other things, but I left my gift list at her house.
Doh!

We registerd fora lot of cheese-realted items, so one of my firends got us a a gift certificate to Murray's cheese shop & a book on French cheese.

Another freind got us another type of cheese board we didn't register for & a chip & dip bowl & fancy wine opener.

And we got two beatiful crystal bowls- one is Waterford, the other Gorham, I think.
My mom loves the Waterford one & I think its kindly going to offer to 'hold on to it'
in her dining room, untill I have a place for it

You sound like me a few weeks ago. . mine was a little early b/c my MOH had to fly in for it & again for the wedding, but yes, yous should be soon. . .
