So I spoke with FH finally about our house. He hired a structural engineer to evaluate the tilting on our house. But I put my foot down and said that no matter what he says, we are not selling the house for at least 2 years. It took him a little bit, but I said all the things you girls said about losing money, being stressed out and how all houses need repairs and maintenance. So I finally convinced him to have the engineer come (for his peace of mind) but if we decided to see the house, we're not going to for at least 2 years. Thank you to everyone for their advice and support! I really appreciate it!

I just had a huge problem with a slope in our house. We had to reinforce the basement with up-to-code steel poles, but it worked out for the best. We won't get rid of the slope, but it will keep our house up. I didn't read your exact post, but I could definitely listen and give you advice about what's going on (if it's a problem similar to ours) if you need it! GL! Glad he came to his senses.... you definitely don't want to lose those closing costs! It takes a while to make those back!!! Hopefully the engineer will have some good news for you!
