UPDATE So Disappointed & Need Help UPDATE

Ok Well I just got off the phone with Tom. Thank you everyone for your help and advice. He is absolutely wonderful and found me some great deals.

When I called my mother to tell her the great news she says that I should speak with my father and see if he will front the bill for it. My father promised he was going to book something for our honeymoon and hasn’t booked anything yet. Now I feel like I have to take care of everything myself. When I called my father and told him how I found out about a nice all inclusive resort he said the price was too steep and I should wait because he was going to book my honeymoon. To be honest I don’t think I can trust him to do it. I am just broken hearted that my wedding is three months away and nothing is finalized yet for my honeymoon and it is driving me insane!

I don’t know if I should book it now or wait and see what my father finds.

Have you asked your dad why he is waiting to book your honeymoon ?
Just seems a bit strange, like he wants to reneg on his offer to you.

But, am glad that you were able to find something thru Tom. I have a good travel agent but have made a note of Tom's number.

just book it now. We stayed at Bucuti Beach in Aruba and had a great time on a budget. I highly recommend it.

I'm sorry for your situation.....but a little surprised. Traditionally, the groom is supposed to pay for the honeymoon....not brides dad.

I'm sorry for your situation.....but a little surprised. Traditionally, the groom is supposed to pay for the honeymoon....not brides dad.

At first the FH and I were going to pay for it with the wedding. FH and I are paying for everything ourselves.

My father said he would pay for the honeymoon and book it as a present for the both of us. So we used the money we were going to use for the honeymoon to splurge on some items for the wedding. Now I found out that my father hasnt booked anything yet and my wedding is in literally three months.

Well the same happened with me and my mother. What I did since the price for the honeymoon I wanted was a little to steep for her, I told her to pay half and I paid the other half, just so that I won't loose out on the honeymoon I really wanted.

Ok I spoke with my father and I am going to go half with him on the honeymoon. I told him the price and he flipped and so I bit the bullet and said I will go half. I am bummed because it is something more I have to pay for. FH is upset too but we are only going to have one honeymoon so we want it to be special. So we are going to San Souci thanks to Tom. I am very excited and can't wait.

Travel Tom is great!

I couldnt believe what he was telling me and the rooms we got. I love it! I am so very excited about it all. Thank you everyone again for all of your help

I am so sorry your dad was pulling all that stuff on you. I am really glad you and your dad came to some sort of an agreement and you will be able to enjoy your honeymoon!!!

I know you probably dont want to step on your dads toes and book it but I would have thought he would have booked already! If I was in your shoes I would probably just book it myself and if he gives you $ towards it that is fine...
