Update..............................
Beautiful Place...but Bad food and service.,
apparently this place is city owned and it gets leased out every couple of years.

I drive into the place., park and dirt gets in my shoe! They DO need to pave that road. Then our waiter could'nt get the order right so he asked us 3 times what we ordered and was circling around us in a confused daze...it was kinda funny.

We asked him for drinks and he said 'go to the bar'.

I tried the fish...NASTy., heard the chicken was NASTy too...he hee..

well for her previous job she used to have to throw alot of dinners, luncheons and special functions for the company and she had to do alot of parties in staten island so she might know.

hey sorry i was over here pretending to work (LOL)...ok South Shore CC stays off my list for a couple of reasons...i used to run an annual golf outting and an awards dinner there every year for 4 years with the old org i worked for and heres my experience:

they cheap out! granted, new management took over almost 2 years ago and they were supposedly trying to 'improve' but my opinion is already too tainted-

for example:

for the reception dinner i found tableclothes that had holes STAPLED together, first i prefer they be replaced all together ,(which i made them do) but if they have to keep them, why not have them sewn (terrible)!

the food is always questionable, any chicken entree there is a no-no, i don't eat chicken francaise but i know its not suppose to taste like theirs!

also, aesthetically the entrance is ehhhh...the parking lot should be paved (not a mud hill)...and the golfers leave their f*ing carts all over the place...

if you wonder why i even ran the events there, my boss kept that venue for us...

its not that great there ...sry to say


the grounds are beautiful but the food and the atmosphere isnt that great

I think my FH's brothers used to be valet there...
Brings back memories...the dirt road...loll...

sorry to hear actually because its a nic place ...but i would never have my wedding there...maybe a smaller party...there are so many nicer places on SI
